Job summary

Our client in Manchester is seeking an Estimator to join a civil engineering contractor working on National Grid projects. You will manage tenders end-to-end, compile detailed costings and coordinate with operations to understand delivery methods. The right candidate will have relevant qualifications and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/Degree or equivalent).
• Experience in civil engineering, groundworks, reinforced concrete, trenching & ducting works, utilities and infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage enquiries and ITTs from start to end within deadlines.
• Review and assess tender information received.
• Prepare tender programmes / submission documents.
• Engage with sub-contractors / suppliers to gather quotes.
• Compile final pricing and undertake detailed commercial review with senior management.
• Organise (& attend, if appropriate) client post-tender meetings.
