Job Description
Civil Fraud & Commercial Litigation Lawyer - Senior Associate
We are instructed by a global law firm, seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Associate to join its growing Disputes practice in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded solicitor with at least five years of post-qualification experience, to join a team which specialises in civil fraud, asset recovery, and complex commercial litigation, often with an international or cross-border dimension.
The successful candidate will manage a high-value caseload involving civil fraud, asset tracing, and urgent interim relief applications such as freezing and disclosure orders. The role also includes advising corporates, financial institutions, and high-net-worth individuals on contentious matters, often involving multi-jurisdictional elements. Responsibilities will include drafting pleadings and witness statements, instructing barristers and foreign lawyers, attending court hearings and mediations, and developing strategic client advice.
Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills are essential, as is a sound understanding of High Court procedures. Candidates must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced team. A flexible, hands-on attitude and strong client management experience are key. The firm values individuals who are proactive in business development and thought leadership and who demonstrate excellent organisational and time management abilities.
Applicants must be qualified in England and Wales, or a common law jurisdiction, with a minimum of five years' PQE. Experience with cross-border litigation, skills, and a track record in business development are advantageous. The firm offers a collaborative, inclusive, and internationally focused working environment with strong partner support and opportunities for growth. This is a full-time, London-based role.
