Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our civil engineering team in North Wales. You will support the pre-construction process by preparing detailed cost estimates and competitive tender submissions for infrastructure projects.

You will work closely with commercial, engineering and operation teams to develop accurate costings, review drawings and specifications, and identify commercial opportunities while ensuring deadlines are met and tenders hand over smoothly to

Qualifications

• Experience estimating within civil engineering or construction.
• Strong commercial awareness and numerical skills.
• Ability to interpret drawings and project specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proactive in solving problems and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Review tender documentation, drawings and technical specifications.
• Produce accurate costings and assess project requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and potential cost savings.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure tenders are completed accurately and submitted within deadlines.
• Support the handover of successful tenders to the delivery team.
