Octavius Infrastructure is offering a Year in Industry Placement in Civil Engineering across England. The 10–12 month scheme lets aspiring engineers gain hands-on experience, work on road and rail projects, and develop communication, teamwork and leadership skills on-site or in the office.

Start date is September 2027; applicants should be willing to travel and stay away from home when required. The scheme offers ICE Approved training and potential progression to the Graduate Scheme.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proactive and adaptable with interest in construction/engineering.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with commitment to health, safety and sustainability.
• Full UK driving licence and desire to work towards professional qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project planning, cost control, records and method statements.
• Contribute ideas and energy to innovative projects.
• Collaborate with diverse teams including engineers, commercial teams and stakeholders.
• Engage with local communities and learn from experienced professionals.
