Do you want to join a team helping to shape the future of Wakefield through Highways Development Management?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Highways Development Management Team as a Civil Engineering Technician at a time of great investment and regeneration for the district.

The team provides quality consultation on new developments across the Wakefield District. The main drives for the team are to encourage innovation through design and to ensure that development proposals meet all standards set out, ensuring the best provision of services to the existing and prospective residents and businesses in Wakefield.

We are looking to appoint a Civil Engineering Technician within the team to play a major role in the engineering project review process for development throughout the District.

Good communication skills are essential in the role of Technician within this team, as you will be asked to assist in the provision of scheme reviews and comments regarding submissions that have an impact on the highway network. You will also attend Planning Committees and other review panels where needed.

This role is based in the Wakefield One building in Wakefield City Centre at a time of exciting change and renovation across the city. As a member of the wider Regeneration and Economic Growth team you will be at the forefront of these historic projects.
