JOB POSITIONS: Civil Engineering Expert - Finite Element Analyst

Are you an innovative finite element specialist with experience in the modelling and assessment of civil or structural engineering structures? Do you excel in the development of complex and advanced numerical analyses (finite elements) of reinforced concrete (RC) structures, seismic design, blast and impact design?

Our UK-based Civil and Structural Engineering team is seeking candidates with advanced structural analysis skills. If you're looking to boost your career and enrich your portfolio with new projects like Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C, we invite you to join us!

Location: Bristol

Job Description:

  • You will work on the technical design, analysis, and implementation of civil engineering solutions for nuclear projects,
  • You will provide specialised technical expertise and guidance within the Nuclear Engineering department, ensuring that all nuclear engineering projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance in the UK,
  • Experience carrying out advanced analysis on RC structures,
  • Experience carrying out advanced analysis of seismic, impacts, blast, and others,
  • Provide technical mentorship to engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development,
  • Prepare and present detailed technical reports,
  • This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical and innovative engineering solutions,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Software and Tools:

  • Experience using industry-standard finite element analysis software (ANSYS, or equivalent).
