Job summary

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is seeking a Civil Draughtsperson to produce high-quality technical drawings based on engineer designs, using AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D. You will liaise with engineers, manage workloads, and ensure compliance with industry and health & safety standards.

The role involves site visits, preparation of working drawings for all design stages, and maintaining accurate records in a hybrid working setup, primarily located in South Wales with flexibility for candidates across

Qualifications

• ONC/HNC in Civil Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent relevant qualifications and experience.
• Experience of working to regulatory, operational or project deadlines.
• A genuine commitment to delivering excellent outcomes for customers, with the ability to take ownership and accountability for your work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to interpret information, manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure to meet regulatory and project deadlines.
• Understanding of Health and Safety requirements and safe working practices.

Working Arrangements

Good to know Hybrid working with an expectation of approximately three days per week in the office. The role is based in South Wales; however, we welcome applications from candidates across Wales and may consider an alternative base location for the right candidate.
