Do you have a passion for Civil Engineering?

Are you driven to create solutions for the unprecedented climate, environmental, and efficiency challenges facing our clients and communities? If so, come make a real difference with us at Stantec.

We're excited to continue our growth journey in Northern Ireland, with ambitious expansion plans for 2025 and beyond.

We’re proud to have been appointed to Northern Ireland Water’s IF182 Professional Services Framework, and we've recently moved into a new city centre office in Belfast.

With a strong pipeline of work and significant opportunities across the UK's AMP8 cycle, we’re seeking Civil Engineers at all levels with experience in the water/wastewater industry to be based in our Belfast office.

You'll join a dynamic, collaborative team spread across the UK and Ireland, supporting the delivery of a wide variety of projects as part of a major capital investment programme.

In this role, you’ll:

  1. Develop technical solutions and provide expert advice to clients
  2. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure first-class project delivery
  4. Learn, grow, and progress your career in a supportive environment
About You
  • A degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
  • Working towards Chartered status (or already Chartered)
  • Experience in the regulated water industry—ideally wastewater
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure/networks and treatment
  • Experience in Clean Water or Wastewater Treatment, Trunk Mains, or Large Diameter Pipeline Design is a plus
  • A passion for client service, technical excellence, and making a difference in the water sector
Why Join Us?
  • People Culture: A close-knit, friendly, and collaborative team
  • Growth: Be part of our exciting expansion across Ireland and Northern Ireland
  • Recognition: Winner of International Consulting Firm of the Year and Best Place to Work – Large Consulting Firms at the 2024 NCE Awards
  • Sustainability: Regularly ranked in the Top 10 Most Sustainable Companies in the world (Corporate Knights)
  • Benefits: Competitive salary, pension, private medical insurance, holiday allowance, discounted gym membership, and more
  • Flexibility: We support flexible working arrangements
  • Projects That Matter: Key positions on the Uisce Éireann and NI Water Frameworks, delivering projects that truly impact communities
  • Development: Industry-leading training, paid professional subscriptions, and strong internal support for your growth
