Job summary

Involve Recruitment Ltd. is supporting a Bristol-based engineering consultancy to recruit a Civil Engineer for a major UK water sector programme during AMP8 and beyond.

You will work on a varied portfolio including potable water mains, drainage and SuDS, under Senior and Principal Engineers, delivering practical and sustainable designs while developing your professional qualifications.

Qualifications

• At least three years' experience in the water industry with potable water, surface water and foul water design or construction.
• Degree in Civil Engineering; a Master's degree is desirable.
• Progression towards professional qualification, or a willingness to work towards chartership with ICE or CIWEM.
• Experience in 3D design and drainage modelling software, such as MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage.
• Knowledge of water authority statutory approval processes, including Section 104 and Section 106 agreements.
• Understanding of SAB requirements and approval processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritising tasks and deliverables.
• Proactive, independent work style with methodical problem-solving and excellent communication, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of civil engineering designs across a portfolio of water infrastructure projects.
• Support project delivery under Senior and Principal Engineers.
• Collaborate with colleagues, clients and external stakeholders to meet programme goals.
