Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is expanding its Regulated Water Asset Design team and seeking experienced Civil Engineers to support the AMP8 capital programme. The role involves leading multi-disciplinary groups, delivering projects on time and within budget, and developing junior engineers.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering
• Chartered status, or progression towards ICE/CIWEM
• Experience leading civil engineering design teams
• Delivery of projects within budget and schedule
• Experience in checking or technical approval on civil projects
• Mentoring junior staff to develop technical skills
• Client-facing experience and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Take ownership for all aspects of project delivery including health & safety, technical, quality, schedule and budget
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams
• Shape the delivery of our services and identify opportunities to deliver from the wider WSP business
• Build relationships with clients to ensure outcomes and satisfaction
• Contribute to innovation, new services and digital products
• Support Future Ready and Net Zero programme implementation
• Act as an ambassador for best practice within the Asset Design team
• Undertake bid preparation, resource and budget development
• Line manage and support development of graduates and apprentices
• Contribute to recruitment and growth of the civil engineering team
• Continue personal development of technical, managerial and leadership skills
