Job description

£30,000k to £40,000k pa BoE – Flexible Working – Excellent Benefits

The Role

As a Civil Engineer for the water and utilities team, reporting to Senior and Principal Engineers you will join a dynamic team to deliver the multi-billion-pound pipeline of work for AMP 8 and beyond. You will be keen to work hard and produce top quality solutions to challenging engineering dilemmas as part of a competent and motivated team.

Responsibilities

Design new and replacement potable water mains
Foul drainage and CSO remediation work
Conventional and urban drainage design
Solve challenging engineering dilemmas

Requirements

  • Relevant Civil Engineering degree (Masters desirable but not essential)
  • 3+ years of experience within the water industry
  • Knowledge of potable, surface, foul water design and/or construction
  • Be working, or be willing to work towards Chartership
  • Competent in 3D design and modelling using MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage,
  • Knowledge of Water Authority approval processes (i.e. S104, S106)
  • SuDS Approval Body involvement
  • Able to manage workloads effectively and efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Able to work to your own initiative, independently, and within a team
  • Methodical, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
