Penguin Recruitment Ltd is helping a leading consultancy recruit a Civil Engineer – Wastewater Infrastructure based with a hybrid pattern in Brighton and occasional team days in Slough. You’ll contribute to detailed design and delivery of wastewater networks across the region.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 2+ years’ UK wastewater design experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and hydraulic modelling tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in UK wastewater pipeline design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and hydraulic modelling software.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to attend site visits.

Responsibilities

• Deliver detailed designs for wastewater networks, including pumping stations and gravity sewer systems.
• Ensure compliance with Water Industry Standards and Sewerage Sector Guidance.
• Liaise with utility companies and regulatory bodies to support project delivery.
• Use hydraulic modelling tools like InfoWorks ICM and MicroDrainage to enhance engineering solutions.
• Conduct condition assessments and feasibility studies for asset rehabilitation.

The Opportunity

As a Civil Engineer – Wastewater Infrastructure, you’ll be part of a dynamic team focused on the detailed design and delivery of wastewater networks. With a hybrid working arrangement based in Brighton and occasional team days in Slough, you’ll support the development of sewerage rising mains, trunk sewers, and pipeline rehabilitation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver detailed designs for wastewater networks, including pumping stations and gravity sewer systems.
• Ensure compliance with Water Industry Standards and Sewerage Sector Guidance.
• Liaise with utility companies and regulatory bodies to support project delivery.
• Use hydraulic modelling tools like InfoWorks ICM and MicroDrainage to enhance engineering solutions.
