CIVIL ENGINEER

Location: Southampton

Salary: £35-50k (DOE)

Our client is looking to appoint a full-time Civil Engineer with relevant postgraduate experience for their Southampton office due to a healthy workload.

The successful candidate will work in a leading UK private Engineering Consultancy on projects across commercial, retail, residential, and industrial sectors.

Engineers work under the supervision of experienced directors and alongside dedicated engineers and technicians. The company offers ICE-approved training and a route to chartered membership.

As you gain experience, you will be involved in multiple projects and clients. Experience with major highways infrastructure is a plus.

Civil Engineer Responsibilities:

• Design infrastructure for various sectors, including SUDS drainage, roads adhering to standards.
• Liaise with statutory bodies like Scottish Water, Roads Department, SEPA.
• Proficient in relevant analysis and design software (PDS, Civil 3D, Micro Drainage, AutoCAD).
• Attend design and site meetings, conduct site inspections.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, clients, contractors, and other designers.
• Manage projects within budget and schedule constraints.
