Civil Engineer – Reinforced Concrete

Join our dynamic civil engineering team and work on cutting‑edge nuclear projects delivering innovative low‑carbon energy solutions. Reporting to the Civil Team Lead, you will design concrete structures, manage input data, resolve complex challenges, and mentor junior members.

Job Mission
  • Receive, analyze, and verify input data consistency.
  • Produce key deliverables: assumption notes, calculation notes, and technical specifications.
  • Design fastenings in concrete and reinforced/pre‑stressed concrete structures.
  • Coordinate work with CAD designers and the Design Office Manager.
  • Conduct technical verifications of civil engineering documents.
  • Manage the Design Risk Register to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Support the management of design changes and load management.
  • Mentor and advise junior team members to develop their expertise.
Essential Skills
  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • IEng/CEng MICE certified or working towards it.
  • Strong background in civil and structural engineering, particularly in reinforced concrete design.
  • Knowledge of Eurocodes and fastening design in concrete.
  • Proficiency in design software (Autocad 3D, Tekla 3D, E3D, Navisworks, Revit, Mathcad, Microsoft Word/Excel).
  • Ability to check and review work, mentor team members, and manage workloads.
Desired Skills
  • Experience in nuclear sector projects and plant layout engineering.
  • Familiarity with pre‑stressed concrete design.
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of design and layout constraints.
  • Experience with Verifplantine software.
