ALTEN is a global engineering consultancy recruiting a Civil Engineer to support major infrastructure projects. The role focuses on design, coordination and delivery of civil engineering solutions across project phases, with emphasis on accuracy and standards compliance.

You will work within a multidisciplinary environment, coordinating with engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure on-time, cost-effective project outcomes and continued technical development.

Formación

• Experience on infrastructure, construction, utilities or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of civil engineering design principles and industry standards.
• Experience preparing technical reports, calculations and design documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support the delivery of civil engineering design activities from concept through to detailed design.
• Produce and review technical calculations, reports and engineering documentation.
• Assist with site development, infrastructure and utility designs.
• Support drainage, earthworks and civil engineering assessments.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical and project engineering teams.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations and client requirements.
• Support project delivery activities to achieve cost, quality and schedule objectives.
• Contribute to technical problem solving and engineering improvement initiatives.
• Assist with preparation of engineering deliverables and project documentation.

Job Description

ALTEN is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the delivery of major infrastructure and engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to further develop their technical capabilities while working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

The successful candidate will contribute to the design, coordination and delivery of civil engineering solutions across various project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of civil engineering design activities from concept through to detailed design.
• Produce and review technical calculations, reports and engineering documentation.
• Assist with site development, infrastructure and utility designs.
• Support drainage, earthworks and civil engineering assessments.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical and project engineering teams.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations and client requirements.
• Support project delivery activities to achieve cost, quality and schedule objectives.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Experience working on infrastructure, construction, utilities or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of civil engineering design principles and industry standards.
• Experience preparing technical reports, calculations and design documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive and solution-focused approach to engineering challenges.

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, orequivalentmilitary experience.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar design software.

Experience in one or more of the following:

• Drainage Design
• Earthworks
• Site Development
• Utilities Infrastructure
• Highway Design
• Experience within Nuclear, Energy, Water, Rail or Infrastructure sectors.
• Progress towards ICE professional membership or chartership pathway.
