A little bit more about your role:

As a Civil Engineer within the renewables team, you will focus on the technical and project delivery of onshore wind, PV, and BESS projects throughout the EIA, design, and construction phases.

Your duties will include:

  • Developing 2D / 3D site layouts using GIS, InfraWorks, and AutoCAD.
  • Assisting with project management tasks such as forecasting, invoicing, and resourcing.
  • Contributing to proposals and bids for onshore wind projects and multi-disciplinary proposals.

WSP often acts as the Owner’s Engineer / Technical Advisor on renewable energy projects across the UK. This may involve undertaking Site Supervisor / Engineer responsibilities, including:

  • Conducting construction phase inspections, including foundation pre-pour and post-pour inspections.
  • Supporting project administration tasks like client meetings, progress reporting, and technical queries.
  • Reviewing civil infrastructure designs from contractors.
  • Participating in H&S management, including reviewing RAMS and construction plans.
  • Managing quality assurance and document control across projects.

We'd love to hear from you if you:
  • Have a Civil Engineering qualification
  • Are working towards ICE chartered status
  • Have experience with steel, concrete, timber, and masonry design
  • Have basic knowledge of GIS, InfraWorks, and AutoCAD
  • Have site experience and knowledge of health and safety, civil construction, reinforcement detailing
  • Are willing to travel across the UK for extended periods
  • Have a full UK driving license
