Job summary

The Port of Dover is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our busy team. Based in the UK, you will work on civil and marine infrastructure projects, review designs, and develop maintenance plans aligned with sustainability goals.

We require a BEng/MEng with 3+ years post-graduate experience, proficiency with AutoCAD, and strong communication skills. The role offers a competitive salary (£35k-£45k DOE), pension, private healthcare, and generous annual leave.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng in a relevant Engineering discipline; 3+ years post-graduate experience preferred from a design consultancy background.
• Strong understanding of current design codes and CDM Regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review designs and specifications to ensure statutory compliance and best practices.
• Prepare designs, specifications, and work packages for construction projects.
• Act as internal consultant to Engineering department and wider business.
• Guide condition inspection programmes and devise maintenance/repair plans aligned with sustainability goals.
