Civil Engineer

Civil Engineer required for your client based in Norwich. The ideal Civil Engineer would have 3 years post Graduate experience and be interested in working on projects up to £76m, predominantly projects in the £10m - £20m range. The Civil Engineer will be interested in working on Capital Works, Residential, Hospital, and University projects. The Civil Engineer will be supported with Chartership training through regular personal development days and an in-house programme to achieve chartership.

Responsibilities:

• Detailed technical input and ensuring quality of work output on projects
• Detailed Highway Design and Drainage Design
• Obtaining section agreements for highways and drainage works
• Managing projects
• Ensuring that the project is undertaken to the specified budget and that all project-related fees and disbursements are accurately recorded and expediently recovered
• Supervise the work of more junior staff and sub-consultants

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with S38, S278, S104
• Experience in Flood Risk Assessments, Hydrology, and Flood Modelling
• Three or more years design experience
• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Experience of MicroDrainage, AutoCad, Civils3D / PDS, hydrology mapping, etc.
• Experience in client-facing roles
• Comfortable leading projects

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ambitious, driven, and eager to take on new challenges
