Job description

Civil Engineer (Highways or Drainage)

Location: Manchester

Salary: Competitive, based on experience + Great Benefits Package

Experience: 3-6 years

Job Type: Full-time / Permanent

Are you a Civil Engineer with a passion for highways or drainage design? I am looking for talented individuals with 3-6 years of UK-based civil engineering experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and delivery of highway schemes, including knowledge of Section 38 & Section 278 agreements
  2. Drainage design for a range of developments, incorporating SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems)
  3. Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)
  4. Use of industry-standard software such as MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage
  5. Liaising with local authorities, clients, and other stakeholders
  6. Supporting senior engineers and mentoring junior team members where required

Requirements:
  1. Minimum 6 years of relevant civil engineering experience within the UK is a MUST (Candidates with overseas experience will not be considered)
  2. Strong working knowledge of S38 & S278 highway agreements
  3. Proven experience in drainage design including SuDS
  4. Competency in producing flood risk assessments
  5. Proficient in MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage
  6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  7. Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  8. Based in Manchester
