Civil Engineer - Required

Our client, a Structural and Civil Engineering firm based in Leicester, is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their team. The company has extensive experience across various projects and sectors and is currently looking for a candidate with residential housing, roads, and sewers design experience.

The ideal Civil Engineer will have at least 3 years of industry experience, with proficiency in developing engineering designs and experience in housing estate design, including s38, s278, s104, s106, s184, and s185 applications. Proficiency in Civils 3D, Site 3D, and WinDes MicroDrainage is also required.

The successful candidate will be capable of developing new leads, contributing to business success, and working towards chartership (e.g., CEng, MICE, CMIHT, or CIWEM). This role offers an excellent opportunity for career growth within an expanding team.

Responsibilities

1. Undertaking technical and feasibility studies, including site investigations
2. Using computer software to develop detailed designs
3. Performing complex calculations
4. Liaising with clients and professionals, including architects and subcontractors
5. Preparing job specifications and supervising tendering procedures
6. Resolving design and development issues
7. Managing budgets and project resources

Minimum Requirements

• Degree qualification in a relevant field
• 3-4 years of experience in civil engineering
• Chartered or working towards chartership
• Experience in the residential sector
• Proficiency in Civils 3D, Site 3D, and WinDes MicroDrainage
• Knowledge of s38, s278, s104, s106, s184, and s185 applications
• UK driving licence
