Strata Consulting is seeking a Civil Engineer to join a growing, friendly and collaborative team. The role offers development across many facets of the profession and opportunities to learn while working with senior management.

The position requires a solid consultancy background in Civil Engineering and provides a competitive salary with training through ICE and avenues to Chartered status. Join a team committed to delivering successful projects for diverse clients and gain exposure to site

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in Civil Engineering design consultancy.
• BSc or BEng qualified, ideally with a year in industry working for a consultancy.
• An ability to communicate effectively, writing clear and concise emails, letters and reports.
• Good commercial awareness and an ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Site appraisals and feasibility assessments.
• Pre-application planning advice, technical support for outline and detailed planning applications and the approval of reserved matters, discharging planning conditions.
• Production of pre-planning reports, including Flood Risk Assessments, Foul Drainage & Utility Assessments
• Drainage remedial works
• Earthworks modelling
• Preparation of detailed design information for Tender and Construction
• Highways design – local authority and private residential / commercial (S38 / 184 / 278)
• Road and Sewer / SuDS Adoption
• Contract Management
• Client’s Representative
• Expert Witness
