The Vacancy

RSK Land Development and Engineering (LDE) Ltd, part of the RSK Group, is looking for a Civil Engineer to join the team in Edinburgh. This is a full-time, permanent position.

RSK LDE Ltd was formed in 2003 with a team of experienced civil and structural engineers involved in major development projects.

Responsibilities

• Work as Infrastructure Engineer within the design team, reporting to Principal Engineer.
• Prepare infrastructure drawings and designs using AutoCAD and other software.
• Coordinate within the design team to meet project timescales.
• Negotiate with Local and Drainage Authority Engineers on design for adoptable works (Section 104, 38, 278).
• Engage with statutory utilities for layouts and quotations.
• Implement designs on private areas in compliance with current Codes of Practice.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience in drawing production following standard procedures.
• Understanding of civil engineering principles.
• Knowledge of PDS for highway design and ground modelling.
• Experience with WinDes for drainage system design, including sustainable drainage.
• Develop project management skills following RSK procedures.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar consultancy role.
