Job description

RSK Land Development and Engineering (LDE) Ltd, part of the RSK Group, is looking for a Civil Engineer to join the team in Edinburgh. This is a full-time, permanent position.

RSK LDE Ltd was established in 2003 by specialist design engineers to enhance its in-house capabilities. It now boasts a highly experienced team of professional civil and structural engineers with extensive experience in the assessment, design, and construction of major development projects.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work as an Infrastructure Engineer within the design team on designated projects, reporting to the Principal Engineer.
  2. Prepare infrastructure drawings and designs using AutoCAD and other proprietary software.
  3. Understand your role within the design team and adhere to project timescales.
  4. Negotiate with Local and Drainage Authority Engineers on design aspects for adoptable works (Section 104, Section 38, and Section 278).
  5. Coordinate with statutory utilities to obtain layouts and quotations.
  6. Implement designs in private areas in compliance with current Codes of Practice.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  2. Experience in drawing production following standard procedures.
  3. Practical understanding of civil engineering principles.
  4. Knowledge of PDS for highway design and ground modelling.
  5. Experience with WinDes for designing and modelling drainage systems, including sustainable drainage.
  6. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar consultancy role.
