We require a Civil Engineer who can develop and manage our civils Reinforced Concrete (RC) capability, including setting out, quality assurance, and managing teams of operatives, materials, and plant procurement.

The Role:
Are you an accomplished Civil Engineer with a proven track record of leading projects through the entire lifecycle? If yes, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning the coordination of works alongside the Construction Project Manager
• Implementation of CDM checklist requirements
• Managing self-delivered work and subcontracted packages
• Carrying out inductions and HSEQ inspections
• Drafting and issuing RAMS and permits
• Adapting pre-established generic ITPs to site-specific works and collating evidence for closure
• Submitting material and labour requisitions and managing plant hire/off-hire
• Maintaining a site diary of compensation events and reporting deviations from cost forecasts or scope
• Setting out with total station

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

• Experience working with DNOs such as SSEN, understanding of substation projects, and NEC3 contracts
• Experience in similar roles with SSSTS/SMSTS certification
• Experience as an Engineer/Supervisor with trenching, deep excavations, RC works, duct installation, cable pulling, and power switchgear installation
• Knowledge of NEC3, CDM compliance, RAMS production, programme management, and cost control
• RC experience is essential; groundworks experience is a plus; AutoCAD and setting out experience are required
• A full and valid driving license is essential for site travel
