We're working exclusively with a well established water sector company to appoint a Civil Engineer on a contract basis. This role will support the delivery of clean water capital schemes across the South East, working closely with senior engineers and project managers.

You’ll be involved in both office based technical work and site based delivery support, with responsibility for design input, documentation and contractor liaison.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the production of design drawings, scopes, job packs and CDM documentation
  • Carrying out site audits and providing contractor support during delivery phases
  • Mentoring Graduate Engineers within the delivery team
  • Working with internal stakeholders and third parties to secure approvals
  • Flagging risks to programme or cost to the Senior Engineer or Project Manager
  • Contributing to consistent delivery across the civils programme

What you’ll need:

  • Degree or HND in Civil Engineering
  • Experience in the water sector or similar regulated industry
  • Strong understanding of clean water infrastructure
  • Knowledge of CDM 2015 and NEC
  • 5+ years’ experience delivering water mains, pipelines or civils packages
  • Comfortable working independently while supporting the wider team
  • Ability to support and mentor junior team members
