Aldwych Consulting in Nottingham is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join its expanding Infrastructure Design team. Hybrid working is available, with up to two days per week from home. The role covers residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments, delivering from feasibility to construction.

The successful candidate will have consultancy civil design experience, strong technical ability and a proactive approach to career progression within an employee-owned business.

Civil Design Engineer - Infrastructure

Location: Nottingham

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

I'm working with an employee-owned infrastructure consultancy in Nottingham that is looking to recruit a Civil Design Engineer to join its growing Infrastructure Design team. Working closely with residential and commercial developers, the consultancy delivers a varied portfolio of projects, from initial feasibility and planning through to detailed design and construction. Following its transition to employee ownership at the end of 2025, the business has ambitious plans to double in size over the next three to four years, offering an excellent opportunity to join a growing consultancy with genuine opportunities for career progression.

Role

Deliver civil infrastructure design across a varied portfolio of development projects. Contribute to projects from initial concepts and feasibility through to detailed design and construction. Work on residential, commercial, industrial, education and mixed-use developments. Collaborate with colleagues across infrastructure design, transport planning and water management. Liaise with clients and other design professionals to develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions. Take on increasing technical and project responsibility as your experience develops.
