Job summary

A consulting engineering firm in Cardiff is seeking a Civil Design Engineer on a contract basis to support residential development projects. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of civil engineering design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a good understanding of drainage strategies in Wales. Immediate start available with a negotiable hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in civil engineering design for residential developments.
• Strong understanding of Welsh SAB process and drainage strategy development.
• Demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver accurate technical outputs.

Skills

Highway and drainage design (S104 / S38 / S278)

SuDS design and SAB approvals (Wales)

Flood Consequence Assessments (FCA)

Proficient with AutoCAD 2D

Experience using Civil 3D

Experience using InfoDrainage or MicroDrainage

I'm working with a consulting engineering client who is looking for a Civil Design Engineer to support ongoing residential development projects from their Cardiff office.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

• Highway and drainage design (S104 / S38 / S278)
• SuDS design and SAB approvals (Wales)
• Flood Consequence Assessments (FCA)
• Residential Development Design
• Proficient with AutoCAD 2D
• Experience using Civil 3D and InfoDrainage (or MicroDrainage)

Required Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in civil engineering design for residential developments
• Strong understanding of Welsh SAB process and drainage strategy development
• Demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver accurate technical outputs
