Job description

NES Fircroft is recruiting a Civil Design Engineer or CAD Technician with Reinforced Concrete design experience for our client based in Sheffield. This is a contract position for 6 months, working Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours per week.

Civil Coordination Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Produce, monitor, and check that technically compliant and cost-effective design documentation, including drawings, specifications, schedules, calculations, and enquiry specifications, meet project requirements, company procedures, and statutory obligations.
2. Ensure that the design and construction of civil works adhere to required standards, budgets, and timelines.
3. Collaborate with the lead engineer as the technical focus for specific project portions, ensuring successful and commercially viable contract execution, including monitoring and reporting on budgets, progress, and change management.
4. Report to the Lead Engineer and/or Engineering Manager on all project-related matters.
5. Participate in customer meetings, both on-site and in-office, for projects and pre-projects.
6. Provide technical support to ensure civil works related to PT equipment are constructed according to design and operational requirements.
7. Assist in preparing civil technical specifications and engineering budgets for pre-project bids, ensuring budgets are appropriate for securing new projects.
