Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy based in Greater London is looking for a Civil 3D Technician to join their design team. The role involves converting 2D designs to 3D for construction projects, with a strong emphasis on highways experience. You will support TfL projects, conducting feasibility studies and detailed design tasks. Candidates should be proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, willing to work collaboratively, and capable of working with minimal supervision.

Civil 3D Technician - Highways

As part of a design team, you will develop scheme drawings from 2D to 3D for construction projects. You will support and advise the team and coordinate project delivery for TfL projects around London. Your responsibilities include feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design work, and producing 3D design information as needed.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Production of Civil 3D CAD designs based on 2D drawings.
2. Creation of 3D civil design plans such as contour plans, cut & fill plans, setting out information, and cross sections.

• Autodesk
• Highways experience
• Civil 3D
• Micro Drainage
• Navisworks
• Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to undertake design tasks with minimal supervision
