A Civic Amenity Attendant 2 (Plant Operator) position has become available within the Waste Services operations team. The duties include:

  1. Collection and sorting of recyclable materials into the allocated bays and/or off a picking line.
  2. Cleaning and basic maintenance of plant and equipment.
  3. Maintaining accurate records for the removal of material from the site and of all activities on the site.
  4. Assisting in Waste facility operations.
  5. Maintaining a tidy site.
  6. Ensuring compliance with legal duties regarding health, safety, and welfare within areas of responsibility.
  7. Cooperating with Falkirk Council and other employees to comply with site licence, legislation, policies, and procedures.
  8. Assisting in waste segregation within the MRF processing unit.
  9. Assisting on the HWRC when required.
  10. Performing any other duties reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.
  11. Undertaking Telehandler & Materials Handling training and operations.

This position may require weekend and shift work; therefore, a flexible approach is necessary. The normal working pattern is typically Monday - Friday, covering a 37-hour period. An alternative shift pattern will be reviewed to meet process requirements. The successful applicant will be expected to work at either Roughmute or Kinniel HWRC, on occasions when material segregation is not required within the MRF.

The place of work will be Roughmute. You may be required to work elsewhere to meet strategic needs.
