Job description

We are looking to appoint a committed and inspiring Citizenship Teacher to join a Humanities/Social Studies department. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference by equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to participate fully in modern democratic society. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as Citizenship Teacher:
  1. Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Citizenship lessons across KS3/KS4/KS5
  2. Cover key topics including democracy, justice, human rights, and responsibilities
  3. Promote active citizenship and student voice within the school community
  4. Contribute to cross-curricular themes such as PSHE, SMSC and British Values
Qualifications:
  1. QTS and a background in Citizenship, Politics, Law, Humanities, or a related subject
  2. Strong communication skills and a passion for social issues, equality and civic education
  3. Ability to create a respectful and inclusive learning environment as a Citizenship Teacher
  4. Committed to encouraging critical thinking, debate, and responsible action
