Job summary

Sopra Steria Ltd. in the United Kingdom is seeking a Cisco Network Engineer to design, deploy and support enterprise network solutions within defence environments. The role offers exposure to routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, and automation.

You will join a collaborative team, work onsite in Salisbury five days a week and contribute to incident response, network health monitoring, and continual service improvement while pursuing advanced Cisco certifications and DV clearance readiness.

Qualifications

• CCNA or CCNP certification or willingness to achieve with employer support.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, ACLs and other network technologies.
• Experience in an ITIL environment.
• Eligibility for Developed Vetting clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, build, deploy and support of enterprise network solutions.
• Respond to incidents in secure and mission-critical environments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production network infrastructure (routing, switching, firewall, wireless).
• Investigate complex service issues and implement approved changes.
• Handle support tickets and contribute to service improvements.
• Support automation initiatives using Ansible and Terraform.
