Cisco Network Engineer

A CISCO qualified Network Engineer is required to support the setup, testing, and maintenance of secure communication systems, including satellite and terminal equipment. You will work with emerging technologies to integrate systems across various networks and deliver technical demonstrations, responding to customer queries as needed.

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to go through security clearance checks for this position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and manage LAN, WAN, and wireless networks
• Install and configure network hardware and software
• Monitor and optimize network performance and reliability
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, including escalations
• Automate routine tasks and assess their impact
• Implement and test network security and recovery solutions
• Recommend upgrades to enhance network capacity and speed
  
  

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• CCNA/CCNP Qualifications, or demostratable experience.
• Strong knowledge of network architecture, routing, and switching
• Experience with VPNs (DMVPN, IKEv2) and satellite systems
• Familiarity with security protocols and access controls
• Skilled in using diagnostic tools like SolarWinds
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools, including Visio and PowerPoint
• You will need to be security cleared, or go through security checks.

This role is office based in Hereford - Commutable from nearby locations such as Tewkesbury, Gloucester and Worcester.
