Tektora is hiring: Cisco Engineer (DV Cleared)

Permanent | Onsite (4–5 days/week) | Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00 | UK-Based Facility | DV Clearance Required

Tektora is supporting a key client in the expansion of their engineering team into 2025 and beyond. We're on the lookout for a skilled Cisco Engineer to join a high-performing environment, delivering robust technical solutions to predominantly DV-cleared UK customers.

This hands-on, facility-based role is perfect for someone with deep Cisco knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following areas: Networking, Security, Unified Collaboration, or Data Centre (DC) infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Customer Engagement – Act as a trusted technical point of contact, driving service delivery and strengthening operational relationships with customer teams.
  2. Technical Problem Solving – Lead the resolution of complex issues using Cisco technologies across Security, Collaboration, and Data Centre environments.
  3. Incident Management – Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical incidents effectively and efficiently.
  4. Testing & Compatibility – Build or utilise test environments to resolve compatibility issues and explore advanced troubleshooting scenarios.
  5. Knowledge Transfer – Create documentation, share insights, and deliver technical guidance to customers and internal colleagues.
  6. Record Keeping – Maintain accurate records within incident and knowledge management systems, following internal processes and standards.
  7. Clear Communication – Provide regular updates to both customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity throughout.

What We’re Looking For

  1. Security Clearance – Active DV Clearance is essential for this position.
  2. Certifications – Strong preference for Cisco CCNA/CCNP certifications.
  3. Technical Depth – Practical, hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas:
  • Network
  • Security
  • Unified Collaboration
  • Data Centre (DC)
  • Problem-Solving Ability – Demonstrated experience resolving complex technical issues across enterprise environments.
  • Strong Communicator – Clear, confident, and professional when engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Customer-Focused – Proven ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Detail-Oriented – Skilled in documenting technical work clearly and thoroughly.
