About the Job

An exciting opportunity join the Cisco team as a Cisco Business Development Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the growth of Cisco's solutions within the organisation.

This role involves developing and executing strategic initiatives to increase sales, market share, and customer satisfaction for Cisco's portfolio. You will work closely with sales teams, customers, and partners to identify business opportunities, create compelling value propositions, and drive successful engagements.

What you can expect to be getting up to as a Cisco Business Development Manager:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with Cisco's business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, resellers, and Cisco to expand the reach of Cisco's solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing insights on industry trends and best practices.
  • Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Provide training and support to sales professionals on Cisco's offerings, ensuring a deep understanding of product features and benefits.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create sales collateral, presentations, and other tools to enhance the sales process.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and key performance indicators.
  • Conduct post-sales analysis to assess the success of initiatives and identify areas for improvement.

In order to set you up for success, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Strong business development background within the IT distribution sector.
  • Knowledge of the Cisco portfolio or similar technologies is essential.
  • Proven track record of successfully expanding a reseller base, highlighting the ability to drive growth and foster lasting partnerships.
  • Proficient in financial analytics and numeracy, contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to effectively engage with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.

Application process

Our interview process typically involves four key stages, giving you plenty of time to learn about Ingram Micro whilst we get to know you:

  • A 15-minute phone call with a member of our talent team
  • 15–20-minute introductory call with the hiring manager, aimed at enhancing your understanding of the role.
  • A 1-hour face-to-face meeting with the hiring manager at our MK offices.
  • A final face to face or MS TEAMs interview with the Director of department (on some occasions)
