Comex2000uk is seeking self-employed FTTH engineers to work on the Openreach network, handling end-to-end fibre installation and maintenance for residential customers on both overhead and underground routes.

You will carry out installations at customer sites, connect internal cabling, and perform maintenance while adhering to safety standards and CIS requirements. A range of certifications must be current.

Formación

• NRSWA SLG and PIA accreditations must be current at application time.
• Experience with both overhead and underground PIA networks is required.
• Additional accreditations such as SA001, S8, SA002, SA007, S7, N037, N022, SA020, K008 are desirable.

Responsabilidades

• End-to-end fibre installation and maintenance on Full Fibre networks.
• Install overhead lines and subduct protective ducts underground.
• Visit homes or businesses to set up internal cabling and verify service.
• Follow safety procedures and restore sites to safe, clean condition.
• Record work using company systems and keep information up to date.

This role falls under the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)

We are looking for Self Employed FTTH (Fibre to the Home) Engineers to work on the Openreach network with residential, handling the full Fibre installation and maintenance of telecom services. You’ll work on Both Overhead and Underground PIA networks, delivering end-to-end solutions including connecting the end user to the network.

You will have your up to date SMART awards or NOPS card.

Your Role and Responsibilities

This is a comprehensive, hands-on position where you will interact with both residential and business customers. You'll be responsible for the end-to-end installation and maintenance of telecommunications services, working with everything from Full Fibre networks.

Your daily tasks will include:

Network Build-outs : Install new telecom services by running overhead lines on utility poles, subducting protective ducts underground, all involving hands‑on, physical work.

Customer installations : Visit our customers’ homes or businesses to set up internal cabling and make sure their new services are working perfectly.

• Network Maintenance: Work with live network infrastructures ducts and poles

Quality & Safety: Follow strict safety procedures, and ensure all equipment is safe to use. You’ll also help restore sites, leaving every location clean and safe for our customers.

Reporting & Admin: Use our systems to record your work and keep information up to date in a timely manner.

Requirements

What We're LookingFor

• Qualifications: NRSWA SLG and PIA Accreditations are preferrable. You must have experience with both overhead and underground PIA networks. Additional accreditations such as SA001, S8, SA051C, SA002, SA007, S7, N022, SA020, N037, and K008 are highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Strong practical knowledge of telecom networks, proficiency with power tools and basic IT skills for using mobile job management apps.
• Communication & Customer Care: Excellent communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers, the public, and stakeholders.
