Global Finance within HSBC Group aspires to be a leading international finance team: leading with integrity and providing trusted insights.
The role holder will lead a global team responsible for planning, forecasting, budgeting, internal MI, and FRP for CIB Globally & HBEU, including all Western Markets. They will work directly with the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis - CIB & HBEU, with core areas of responsibility.

In this role you will:

  1. Forecasting: Responsible for all forward-looking reporting of financial performance for CIB & HBEU to internal stakeholders, with a strong emphasis on providing insights to drive management actions to improve financial performance.
  2. Planning and FRP: Ownership of the Financial Resource Planning process for CIB HBEU, including all target and boundary transfers, with a focus on maintaining cost discipline.
  3. Management Information: Accountable for producing all management information reports, dashboards, and adhoc scenario analyses.
  4. Controls: Responsible for applying effective internal entity controls established by the Group, in compliance with policies and procedures laid out in GSM and FIMs.

  • Finance Business Partner; CIB & HBEU

Membership of Key Management Committees:

  • Member of the CIB & HBEU Finance Leadership Team
  • Other forums to be identified

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Held senior finance management roles within HSBC or other financial institutions of similar size.
  • Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CA, or equivalent).
  • Experience in planning, reporting, and financial analysis, with a strong understanding of business issues and performance drivers.
  • Experience navigating the HSBC FRP process.
  • Knowledge of the Corporate & Institutional Banking product set, including value and profit drivers.
  • Experience managing and developing an international team within a complex environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and institutionalize a financial communication framework.
  • Expertise in driving understanding of financial analysis among business and regional management.

This role is based in London.
