Global Finance within HSBC Group aspires to be a leading international finance team: leading with integrity and providing trusted insights. They will lead a global team responsible for Internal and External Reporting, and Market insights for CIB and HBEU, including all Western Markets.

The role holder will work directly with the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis - CIB & HBEU, with core responsibilities including:

In this role you will:

  1. External Reporting: Accountable for producing all external reports for CIB & HBEU, including Annual Report and Accounts, Quarterly Earnings Releases, Investor Presentations, Data Packs, Regulatory Reporting, and PRA requirements. Support the Head of FP&A and CFO in preparing for external reporting milestones.
  2. Internal Financial Performance Reporting: Responsible for reporting financial performance to internal stakeholders, providing insights to drive management actions. Utilize data from various platforms like Omnia.
  3. Competitor and Market Intelligence: Provide performance analysis relative to competitors, generate industry reports, and analyze market dynamics to inform business decisions.
  4. Input to Governance Materials: Provide financial input for governance forums such as Boards, Audit Committees, and key meetings with auditors and regulators.
  5. Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies laid out in GSM and FIMs.

Key Stakeholders

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  1. Senior Finance management experience within HSBC or similar-sized financial institutions.
  2. Strong background in Financial or Regulatory Reporting.
  3. Expertise in Corporate & Institutional Banking products, including value and profit drivers.
  4. Experience in writing insightful commentary tailored to diverse audiences.
  5. Understanding of global trends, risks, and regulatory implications affecting CIB & HBEU.
  6. Ability to adapt finance support based on macroeconomic trends.
  7. Experience managing and developing international teams in complex environments.
