The role holder will lead a global team responsible for Business Finance and scenario analysis for CIB Globally & HBEU, including all Western Markets. They will work directly with the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis - CIB & HBEU, with core responsibilities outlined below.

In this role, you will:

1. Reporting Transformation: Deliver continuous improvement across the Management Insight reports for CIB & HBEU, including data visualization, new metrics, and ratios to monitor business performance.
2. Access to Data: Develop innovative methods to make CIB and HBEU financial data accessible to stakeholders, leveraging Group technology platforms to streamline information flow and implement self-service data access models where appropriate.
3. Deployment of AI and Technology: Identify opportunities to deploy advanced techniques and technologies to enhance the FP&A function, including horizon scanning beyond immediate business needs.
4. Analytics and Insight Innovation: Drive innovation in analyzing financial metrics, external data, and internal data to test hypotheses and support better business decisions, collaborating closely with the Head of Reporting and Market Insight.
5. Controls: Ensure application of effective internal controls in compliance with Group policies and procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Held senior Finance management roles within HSBC or similar-sized financial institutions.
• Strong background in data analysis and working with large datasets.
• Expertise in banking products, including value and profit drivers.
• Experience designing visualization tools such as Qlik.
• Experience with AI and disruptive innovations.
• Experience with client profitability programs like Omnia.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and competitor behaviors.
• Experience managing and developing international teams within complex environments.
