Health Visitor – Peterhead

2 posts - 1 post 22.20 hours per week & 1 post 29.6 hours per week, based within Peterhead Community Hospital/Health Centre.

About the team and opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a creative and driven health visitor to become a member of our Buchan Health Visiting team. We are an innovative and compassionate team that supports and nurtures ongoing professional development, including international collaboration opportunities. Integrating a trauma-informed workforce is one of the Buchan Health Visiting Team's primary goals. As a vital member of the Buchan Health Visiting and School Nursing Team, you will have the chance to contribute to reducing inequalities and the enhancement of health and wellbeing in the communities we serve.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of the Buchan Health Visiting and School Nursing Team to reduce inequalities and enhance health and wellbeing in the communities served.
  • Engage in integrated teamwork and contribute to multiagency networking, including opportunities to participate in the local GIRFEC Group.
  • Support a trauma-informed approach and participate in ongoing professional development and collaboration.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities, and a dedication to integrated teamwork.
  • Understanding of the GIRFEC framework and knowledge of the Universal Health Visiting Pathway, UNCRC (Incorporation) (Scotland) Act 2024, Named Person, and Children & Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.
