Whitworths is seeking a hands-on Coating Process Technician to own the coating lines and turn precise recipes into high-quality products. You will mix, deposit chocolate, monitor performance and resolve issues, while maintaining safety and food quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing.
• Ability to follow safety-critical instructions.
• Practical approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start and operate equipment across the coating department.
• Mix and deposit chocolate accurately, following recipes and specifications.
• Complete quality inspections and record results correctly.
• Monitor line performance, investigate issues and escalate concerns.
• Ensure materials, equipment and resources are ready when needed.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, allergen control, hygiene and housekeeping.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Keep the line clean, organised and audit-ready.
• Support product trials, factory audits and improvement projects.
• Share knowledge and help train colleagues and develop others.
