A reputable mechanical engineering company is seeking a skilled HVAC & Chiller Service Engineer. You will be responsible for maintaining systems across the North of the UK, focusing on emergency repairs and preventive maintenance. A leading mechanical engineering organisation are seeking an experienced HVAC & Chiller Service Engineer to join their growing team. You will be focused on the North of the UK, providing planned preventive maintenance and emergency fault find and fix call outs to commercial HVAC, AC & Chiller systems from premium manufacturers.

This will also include Packaged Chiller equipment so ideally, youll have chilled water system knowledge. In addition, commissioning of new equipment alongside setting up hire systems as needed.

Experience Required

The candidate is preferred to have a mixture of HVAC & Refrigeration qualifications including but not limited to:

  • FGas and/or City & Guilds Qualifications for HVAC & Refrigeration
  • Electrical and or Controls experience with training records
  • SKILLcard ideally supporting EH&S training or outlining your accreditations
  • Good understanding of DX type cooling systems, experience with split / VRF type air- conditioning and driers
  • Packaged Chiller knowledge, some experience ideally and the ability to develop this skill within the offered role
  • Extensive previous hands-on experience of servicing HVAC and relevant AC systems (ideally capable of fault finding and repairing equipment in the field)
  • F Gas, refrigeration and air conditioning qualifications/certifications are mandatory (manufacturer training desirable)
  • Existing Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and operation manuals
  • Great teamwork and communication skills (client facing and internal) to service contracts and resolve fault find/fix call outs both quickly and effectively.
  • Experience of the rental industry with a good knowledge of HVAC applications and basic controls (desirable)
  • IPAF or Access equipment Training (desirable)

The goal is to ensure our HVAC & Chiller service engineers all have extensive and advanced knowledge on servicing systems to a high standard. Service Engineers will need to be highly skilled at advanced fault finding and fixing HVAC & Chiller equipment while ensuring customer service is second to none. Based in Brighouse with 4 satellite depots strategically placed around Yorkshire and the Greater Manchester region.
