Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Chiller Engineer to join the Rental team in the United Kingdom. You will prepare, install, commission and maintain temporary cooling solutions, ensuring safe and compliant operation on customer sites.

Jointly with the Rental Operations team, you will survey sites, select appropriate equipment, and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime. A UK driving licence, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning qualification, and F-Gas Cat 1 are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in rental/HVAC/chiller environments, ideally large industrial chillers.
• Qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• Full UK driving licence.
• City & Guilds or equivalent Safe Handling of Refrigerants.
• F-Gas qualification (Cat 1).
• Technical competence with Carrier or other manufacturers’ chillers/HVAC equipment.
• Experience on customer sites, installations, live environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, install, commission, maintain, and decommission temporary rental equipment (chillers, pumps, hoses, heat exchangers).
• Support rental projects from site attendance to handover, ensuring safety and fit for purpose.
• Carry out site surveys and identify equipment requirements with Rental Operations.
• Troubleshoot and support operational issues on rental equipment on-site and remotely.
• Commission temporary systems and advise on site connections, flow, power, controls, and operations.
• Attend customer sites and meetings with minimal supervision, updating on progress and safety.
