Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Air Conditioning / Chiller Engineer to join the Reading team. The role involves servicing and maintaining VRV/VRF/split systems and water chillers across various sites, with a focus on data centres and healthcare facilities.

The ideal candidate holds F-Gas Cat 1 and an NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, plus a valid driving licence. A full-time position offering a stable 40-hour week with travel paid after 30 minutes each way.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out servicing and repair on air conditioning and AHU’s.
• Experience servicing Water Chiller units.
• Based within commutable distance to the Reading area.
• Full Driving Licence.
• F-gas Cat 1.

Responsibilities

Job description

Position: Chiller Engineer

Location: Reading

Air Conditioning Engineer / Chiller Engineer required. Our client specializes in the service & maintenance of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & chiller units throughout the U.K, with multiple offices around the country. Our client is looking for an air conditioning engineer / chiller engineer to join their ever-expanding team.

The air conditioning engineer will be expected to service & maintain a variety of air conditioning systems such as VRV’s, VRF’s and splits etc. and would ideally have experience, carrying out servicing works on Water Chillers and air-cooled chillers. Sites will vary, including data centres, healthcare sites and educational sites.

The air conditioning engineer / chiller engineer must hold their F-Gas cat 1 as a minimum with an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in air conditioning and refrigeration. It would be highly advantageous for the engineer to hold some form of electrical qualifications.

• Experience carrying out servicing and repair on air conditioning and AHU’s
• Experience servicing Water Chiller units, highly advantageous
• Based within commutable distance to the Reading area

• Basic Salary of £45,000 to £50,000+ (depending on experience and qualifications)
• Company Vehicle provided – Optional personal use of Van.
• 40 hour working week – plus travel paid, after 30mins each way
• Overtime paid at additional rates – 1.5 & 2x
• On call rota 1 in 10 weeks.
