Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is recruiting an Air Conditioning & Chiller Engineer for Yorkshire base with national travel. The role covers servicing, repair, and installation across VRF/VRV systems, AHUs and chillers, with a focus on planned maintenance and reactive work.

You will hold a F‑Gas Category 1 licence, have strong HVAC knowledge, a full UK driving licence, and ideally 10+ years UK experience.

• Strong technical HVAC knowledge across air conditioning, AHUs & chillers.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ideally over 10 years of UK experience.

Responsibilities

• Work across split & multi‑split systems to VRF/VRV, air handling and ventilation units and chillers.
• Perform repair and remedial works, and small works such as major repairs or small asset replacement works.
• Travel nationally as required, averaging about 5 days a month.

Description

Working with a specialist HVAC & Mechanical Contractor based in Sheffield who operates nationally. Formed in 1992, the company offers a full turnkey solution to clients across planned maintenance, reactive work and projects. Due to continued expansion across the HVAC team, an experienced Air Conditioning and Chiller Engineer is required to join the team.

Day‑to‑day Responsibilities

• Work across split & multi‑split systems to VRF/VRV, air handling and ventilation units and chillers.
• Perform repair and remedial works, and small works such as major repairs or small asset replacement works.
• Travel nationally as required, averaging about 5 days a month.

Requirements

• F‑Gas Category 1 licence
• Strong technical HVAC knowledge across various air conditioning and associated equipment such as AHUs & chillers
• Full UK driving licence
• Ideally over 10 years of UK experience

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary up to £46,400 (equivalent to £21 per hour) on a 42.5 hour week, Monday to Friday
• 32 days holiday including bank holidays, increasing with service
• OT rates paid at 1.5× and 2×
• Profit share scheme paid twice annually up to £3,600
• 1‑6 call‑out with £150 retainer plus OT & door‑to‑door when called out
