Job Role: Children’s Support Worker

Your responsibilities include working closely with children in care, supporting them in all aspects of their lives such as education, hobbies, and activities.

Your support will help develop positive outcomes for children and young people, shaping their future.

You should be highly motivated, committed, and genuinely interested in delivering top-quality care for children and young people. You will work across various settings, including Mental Health, Autism, Challenging Behaviour, Education, and Residential care.

Responsibilities

• Support, safeguard, and promote the wellbeing of children and young people
• Assist with daily routines in community and educational settings
• Organise and facilitate social activities
• Provide transportation
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe practices
• Offer high levels of supervision and support
• Work in line with Ofsted and CQC regulations
• Manage complex behaviours and crisis situations
• Contribute to care plans and risk assessments, including reviews and implementation

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children and/or young adults
• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Child & Young People's Workforce (desirable)
• Must be over 21 years old to meet industry regulations
• Knowledge in areas such as EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEN/SEND
• An enhanced DBS check (cost £45.40), which can be applied for upon registration and refunded after a set period of work
