Job Description:

Job purpose:

To provide high-quality face-to-face speech and language therapy services to children, ensuring comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and intervention.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children’s speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans based on assessment results.
  • Providing direct therapy to children, using evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborating with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support the child’s communication development.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the child’s progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and plan for the child’s needs.
  • Offering training and support to families and educators to facilitate the child’s communication in different environments.
  • Staying updated with current research and best practices in the field of speech and language therapy.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • HCPC registered.
  • Proven experience working with children in a therapeutic setting.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies for speech and language disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the child and family.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Department: Children Face to Face Therapy

Shift Pattern: 09:00 – 5:00 pm (can be flexible)
