We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our specialist team supporting Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children and Young People (UASC) across Northumberland.
Working within our Cared for Children's Service, you will be dedicated to supporting children and young people who have been separated from their parents and families and are seeking sanctuary in the UK.
As a Social Worker in this specialist role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care planning and support to young people up to the age of 18. The role offers a diverse and rewarding range of responsibilities, including undertaking age assessments where required, building strong multi-agency partnerships, and advocating for some of the most vulnerable young people in our community.
You will also lead on Triple Planning processes, ensuring young people are fully prepared for adulthood and future independence, while working closely with our Children Leaving Care Team to provide a seamless transition into adulthood.
This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting difference to the lives of young people who have experienced significant trauma and uncertainty, helping them to build safe, stable and positive futures in Northumberland.
