Job Opportunity: Social Worker (Long Term Temporary)

Please note: This is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

This role is within our dedicated Child in Need Service, where you will work with children and families requiring social work assessments. We have developed a specialized service to enhance assessment and planning for children in need and their families, raising their status and ensuring a consistent approach across the borough. The team operates on a rota basis, and social workers will handle a varied workload, including undertaking section 47 enquiries, completing child and family assessments, and managing a caseload of children supported through child in need planning.

It is essential that social workers in this service can build relational partnerships to strengthen our work, enable the safe step-down of plans, and work within families’ timescales.
