Job Opportunity: Experienced Agency Social Worker

Please note: This is a Long Term Temporary position starting ASAP.

Blackburn with Darwen Children's Services, recently rated ‘Good’ in its full ILACS Ofsted inspection, is seeking 2 full-time experienced agency social workers to join its Safeguarding and Support team. The primary responsibilities include conducting parenting assessments within pre-proceedings, with potential involvement in care proceedings work. One position is available to start immediately, and the other in June/July.

Candidates must be fully compliant, ideally possess a complete set of references, a current enhanced DBS check, and SWE registration with no notations.

Applicants must have access to a car daily and be willing to work in the office 3 days a week, with flexibility for emergencies and service needs.

Essential requirements include caseload management competence, IT proficiency, and record-keeping skills. Experience with Liquid Logic is beneficial but not essential.
